2001 SACRIFICIAL MEAT DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM

To perfrom sacrifice during the yearly Eid-al-Adha celebration is obligatory for Moslems who are able to afford it. It is hoped that the act will form the spirit to sacrifice among Moslems just like Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) who submitted to God's order to sacrifice his own son.

During the 2001 celebration of Eid-al-Adha, the Foundation invites Moslems who want to perform sacrifice in Indonesia through our 2001 Sacrificial Meat Distribution Program which are intended to poor people in Indonesian villages. The act is mainly to prevent oversupply of sacrificial meat distribution in big cities which is likely to happen every year.
The meat is planned to be distributed to the poor people in the outskirts of Jakarta, and in villages in West Java and Central Java. Insha Allah, the meat will only be distributed among those who are qualified to receive.
